The old Willow Tree

Big storm last week and it blew down half of one of the magnificent weeping willows on the back end of the property. I found rot in the middle of the log laying on the ground. Lots of fire wood laying on the ground. Have to figure out how to get the logs up to the front. They are huge.

Two sheds become One

Spent the weekend clearing out the two sheds. Took down the cardboard stapled to the ceilings, took away the chicken roost, took away the press board walls, added shelving in one shed, created a doorway between the two sheds so they become one. One is a workshop, the other a tool and parts room.

Thanksgiving in Sun room

The sun room has been stripped to expose electrical and insulation. Old linoleum was removed as well. Paris came over to share a meal for Thanksgiving so we moved the table into the room so we could have a view while we ate. The neighbors horses graze just below our window. We have kept the table in there because it is so nice.

October Hues

Seven weeks from the day we took possession. The sharpness of the light and fall colours make all that we’ve been through worth it all.
